Tawhai Falls, Tongariro
 
Surrounded by mountain toatoa and beech trees, pristine water tumble over the edge of an ancient lava flow, cascading into a serene pool below. As twilight colours began to paint the skies above Tawhai falls, the wind slowly settled and I could hear the soft rustling of the leaves and the soothing sounds of water flowing like silk into the river beneath.
